An Online Program on Next Generation Sequencing Gene expression Data Analysis in application to Biomedical data with project examples from infectious diseases, Cancer & Neuroscience co-hosted by Pine Biotech, FABA academy, Pharmatoppers & Probiotechnika.

In the last decades, transcriptome-based analysis has been one of the most utilized approaches to investigate human diseases at the molecular level. Through these expression studies, many molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets have been found for several human pathologies.

The high throughput NGS technology enabled scientists to obtain a quantification of gene expression levels and allele-specific expression in a single experiment, as well as to identify novel genes, splice isoforms, fusion transcripts.

Understanding the ability to analyze differentially expressed genes as a transcriptional response of the genome to different environmental stimuli or physiological/pathological conditions has always been one of the main purposes of transcriptome studies. Despite all the advantages of RNA-Seq compared to hybridization-based techniques, there are also several challenges related to the management and the interpretation of data.

To address some of the key challenges associated with Big bioinformatics data analysis, in this program, we will explore the applications of RNA-seq and provide participants with hands-on skills and logical background to the full RNA-seq analysis approach.
